Thanks to the many volunteers, the Larry Joe Harless Community Center, the town council and the Gilbert CVB, Gilbert showed a patriotic display to celebrate America's birthday.  Zane Perry, Terry Ward and Jerry Miller hung American flags throughout town.  The community enjoyed free watermelon and ice cream before being dazzled with a fireworks display managed by the Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department.
